| David Myles Juno Award-winning performer and composer David Myles takes the folk roots traditions of the Canadian Maritimes to an energetic and eclectic high. A native of New Brunswick, Myles' star has been ascending steadily with performances, recordings, tours, and multiple wins at the SOCAN Awards, the East Coast Music Awards, the Canadian Folk Music Awards, Music Nova Scotia and Music New Brunswick Awards, and Much Music Video Awards. His original song "When It Comes My Turn" won the top award in the International Songwriting Competition's folk category in 2006. According to Myles, the song was written during his "quarter-life crisis" – a song that is "not so much about getting old as it is a song about staying young, doing the things you've got to do to stay young at heart." The combination of an infectious musical refrain coupled with humour in the clever lyrics set this song apart as a Canadian folk classic. NEXT CREATOR | BACK |
